Succubus Revealed
by Richelle Mead
It's really hard for me to rate this book. On the one hand, I enjoyed it as a conclusion to the series, and I did like it more than the last one. On the other, well, it had its issues. For one, Georgina was pretty clueless. I mean, I saw the events in this book coming like 2-3 books ago. Why is she so slow on the uptake? Basically in this book, everything had to be figured out for her with the help of Roman, Hugh, and Carter. Seth was barely there and given how pissed I was at him at the end of the last book, I was disappointed that his character really had such a minimal role. This book was basically Roman, Hugh, Georgina, and Carter with guest appearances by everyone else. And what exactly was the point of the whole bowling thing, aside from filling up pages?
The ending was what I expected, and I was glad to see Georgina get her HEA, but I do think this series could have been wrapped up in the last book. I still love Carter and would love to see him get a series, but I'd also hate to see him Fall. Catch-22. Some of the books in this series were stronger than the others, but if I had to rate it as a whole, I'd probably give it a 3.5-4 stars. Same goes for this book, I suppose, so I'll settle on a four. It was fun revisiting the characters one last time, and the writing was good.
