don't judge me, i just wanted to see what the hype was about!

and it wasn't horrible. it was actually pretty entertaining. i applaud any author who treats their romance heroine like an actual person instead of a piece of meat (or just a piece of meat, i mean there is a lot of mating going on). is that a low standard? maybe, but just think of all the books out there that don't do this simple thing.

and here we have a gal who doesn't take any shit and survived horrific circumstances, whose love interest is like "i will listen to you and respect your opinion, also i literally just want to bring you pleasure in any way you will let me" so that was nice.

i am pleased the viral book with the blue aliens and d*ck spurs was a pretty decent read. not a bad way to spend a sunday. now if you'll excuse me i'm off to download book 2.

Edit: the sexual assault scene was removed from the paperback version of the book, it is mentioned but not described in any way
cw: sexual assault early in story (on page, not graphic, not mc), kidnapping, hero/heronie meeting contains dubcon, monster d*ck
