A nice summary of the state of things. Definitely an important message (or series of messages), but (even in my limited economic reading) a lot of the work she refers to has been described better elsewhere. The tone gets a little patronising in places, and almost falls into a list of case studies in other places.
I got the doughnut idea, but I didn't think it was that compelling a visualisation (having looked up a few Oxfam reports, it works better there - particularly with colour). I think that's somewhat beside the point of the book. The division into 7 sections makes sense, and the book leads nicely from one to another.
It works well as a single book to encompass a bunch of wider issues and solutions, but it's only really a starting point to delve into the work that others have done.
