King of Wrath by Ana Huang

5.0

I have no clue why I put off reading this for so long! King of Wrath is a grumpy billionaire romance full of banter, steam, and chemistry. The story follows Dante, who after being blackmailed is forced into an engagement with Vivian, a new money heiress. For the sake of her family, Vivian puts up with the engagement but is shocked to find her new fiance is downright rude and completely uninterested in forming any relationship. After making it clear to Dante that she will not take his grumpy behavior, the two find themselves at odds and in limbo when sparks fly and they can't stay away from each other.

Uggggh. I don't understand how cruel the world is to make it so that I can't have a grumpy billionaire to myself. I absolutely loved this book and how easy it was to follow, the story was simple yet engaging and so full of tension and chemistry between Dante and Vivian it was palpable. The two were so good for each other, I loved how Dante's only soft spot was Vivian and that after he realized he loved her, that he would do anything for her. I also loved was the character growth, the way Vivian came out of her shell and learned to stand up for herself was so good. I cannot wait to binge read the rest of the series, I love marriage in trouble romances and am so excited to read Alessandra and Dominic's story.
