Angels and Demons / The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

4.0

The murdered body of a physicist is discovered in a research facility in Switzerland. Whilst examining the body, a cryptic symbol is identified seared onto the physicist’s chest. Renowned symbologist Robert Langdon is asked to identify the meaning of the symbol and is drawn into a plot against the Catholic Church being hatched by the mysterious organisation known as the Illuminati. Langdon and scientist Vittoria Vetra, must save the Vatican from a bomb threat which sees them exlpore crypts, catacombs and abandoned cathederals.

I enjoyed this book more than The Da Vinci Code. I don’t believe all the conspiracy theories but it’s a great piece of escapism.
