ACTUAL RATING: 4.5/5 stars. I thought this book was so much better than Clockwork Angel, especially in terms of character development.
My Thoughts:
1. I found the plot in the sequel to be much more intriguing and was such a page-turner compared to the first book.
2. What I LOVED most was the amount of character development and progress included in the storyline. I found myself loving the side characters (like Sophie, Henry, Gideon etc) so much more than the main ones. Which feels odd because I've never felt this way before...
3. OMG can I just say that I'm more excited about Sophie & Gideon and Charlotte & Henry's relationship than Tess' boy drama? LOL
4. I'd say the pacing was enjoyable for the majority of the book, but the last 20% was just..OMG..I can't even- *heartbreaking*
5. Initially I was hesitant about the love triangle because it's so cliché and overused but I couldn't help but root for Jem. BUT THEN around 80% in the book I totally switched to Team WILL and ughh it broke my heart reading that chapter :(
6. The biggest issue I had with the first book was how predictable the plot was; this time around I didn't have that problem as often. But I kinda did see that ending coming...
7. I have so many questions left unanswered and I'm reading the next book ASAP!
