This was such a fantastic read! I found myself totally unable to put it down, rooting for Loretta and wishing terrible things upon a certain other character (IYKYK). This is a frustrating story at times, as Loretta navigates the realities of being a woman in the 1950s and all the challenges that entails. I felt so emotionally invested in this story from beginning to end, and I loved how everything came together. An easy 5 star!
Graphic: Confinement, Domestic abuse, Sexual assault, Forced institutionalization
