Rereading the second book in the Chance Sisters series, I will admit that I didn’t love this one as much as the first. I do adore Damaris but some of the more heteronormative sexual standards are very much in place here and while I do think they try the challenge it, it does make this more of a traditional romance novel in that sense.
Per usual though, there’s enough humour and a couple of fantastic scenes of Damaris being an articulate defender of principles and good sense which made this a fun re-read.
