Blazewrath Games
by Amparo Ortiz
“My truth has always been this, but some truths take longer to spread their wings and soar.”
oh my heart is so full! i rarely shed actual tears while reading, no matter how intense my emotions, but i mag have cried a bit towards the end there. i was originally interested for the magic and dragons and representation (all of which i loved). this was such an anticipated read for me, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. blazewrath games has so much heart and took me on an entire journey of emotions. lana and her teammates/friends are such wonderful characters that you can’t help but come to love and cheer for. i’m so glad i read this book. i cannot wait to read more of ortiz’s work in the future.
tw/cw: violence, death, manipulation, mentioned queerphobia, mention of parental abuse
