I admit it took me SO long to read it and maybe it's because I'm trying to get into this genre too, other than just mere romance.
this book was really well written, the world building was nice and well described and the vibes were absurd.
the cottage, the fairy prince, the forest, the abandoned ruined house on the cliffs? insane.
but I feel like the book had so much potential.. this could've been SO much better..
I had very high expectations and they were not totally satisfied..
at first I didn't like the main character at all because why would you bully preston just because he's not from the same place as you when you DO understand how it feels to be judged and not included.
why would you even treat him bad in the first place?
after a while I got so interested in the plot that I didn't care anymore about her but I was surprised in the moment the main character started changing and having a huge glow up.
no problem at all with preston, he was a really good guy from the beginning.
but ianto.. man he creeped me out SO bad.
unluckily the "plot twist" wasn't a plot twist at all and he was obviously the fairy prince and I did suspect it from the bar scene + car accident scene.
