As Old as Time by Liz Braswell

This one sticks closer to the Disney version up until Belle wanders into the West Wing. That's when the twist happens! So hang in there. I almost was disappointed thinking there weren't going to be any big differences.

Boy was I in for a surprise!

I don't want to give away too much but I will say I liked how you got to read about Belle’s mother and father to understand why she would curse the prince. There was more than him simply rejecting to let the crone come in because while that's still how it occurred there's this back story on how magical folk are treated differently due to an incident.

Bonus to this being a book you're able to receive more interaction between Belle and Beast! That means you're able to watch the romance unfold rather than getting little snips.

Another plus is if you like mystery there's a dash of that involved.
