i did not expect this book to live up to the hype if i’m being honest. most of the time when books are given as much praise as this one has been they are mid at best. that being said, this surpassed all my expectations and left me absolutely ruined. one of the best books i’ve read in a long time and i don’t think i’ll ever recover from it. it’s one of those books you pick up to get you out of a reading slump but the second you finish it you know there will never be anything like it so it sends you back into one. i’m so glad i already have iron flame bc i wouldn’t be able to read anything else if i didn’t.
