The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie
4.5
funny mysterious fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes

Really rather humourous, in a "subtle" way. Prodding at society, commenting on class, politics etc. It has the elements of a thriller, but with the whodunnit mystery elements and amateur sleuths making it feel much more light-hearted. The characters are all brilliant fun. It's just very entertaining. It is both different to Christie's usual style but still containing the surprising twists that bring everything together and you can never predict! The only slight disappointment for me was the 'who' as it was similar to others I have read by Christie (not sure which came first though in all fairness), though I still wouldn't have predicted it. Very well done, and I was still completely surprised and laughing to the very end.
