Timequake
by Kurt Vonnegut
I don't really have a good handle on this one. I had spent like 5 months reading all the KV I could get my hands on and this was my last one other than some short stories, I think. At this point I was feeling bad for all the other KV characters because Kilgore Trout gets all the glory. He's in or is mentioned in at least 8 novels (I also just learned that he is NOT based on KV but rather a friend of his he worked with at the Saab dealership who was an obscure sci-fi writer who didn't have any money). I had also just read Man Without a Country which is, I swear, all of the non-Timequake story line stuff distilled into one small paperback. It was still a great read because I am pretty sure that is all KV was ever capable of (I am totally one step away from writing Vonnegut Fan Fiction, so you don't have to listen to me) but I think was just getting burned out.
