When I started this book, I had no idea how poignant the reflections of a crow could be. ST’s memories of human beings offer an excruciatingly beautiful insight on the simple joys of our lives.
Initially, I struggled to become accustomed to ST’s mannerisms and references as some of them were out of date and bordered on cringey. Quickly, though, it became part of the charm. After all, he is a crow trying to keep up with human trends in an increasingly post-human society.
Overall, pacing was great, characters were great, and I’m excited to read the next installment!
