I didn’t think this heavy of a sci-fi or at least a book that had science-y math would be my thing, but it was. I really liked Weir’s humor with Grace, I really liked his character. He was someone who people can relate to and yet still have flaws like any other person. The people he worked with were something but I did like Dimitri, he was funny, even Stratt but less so towards the end (I don’t like forcefully putting someone in space). Rocky was my favorite character, even if at first he scared me because he’s built like a spider. But not long after I loved him, he was funny and adorable. God Rocky almost dying made me tear up, and when he and Grace had to leave each other it was just continuous tears the whole chapter. Then when Grace found out about Taumoeba I cried some more when he realized it actually turned out to be a suicide mission again because he could either go home save earth and be a hero or save rocky and die while sending off the Beatles to earth. Once again crying alittle when I thought rocky had died again due to the Taumoeba being able to go through xenonite eating all his fuel.

In the end I really loved this book and would love to try The Martian by this author.
