Here Comes My Earl by Anna Bradley
4.0

The last of the Templeton sisters has her story. Phee has a tough time of it in London for this season. She's promised to come long & help her friend Harriett find a good man to marry; there had been a small issue last season & Harriett is going to need friends. Phee comes in handy in a couple of ways the first being that she's going to take the heat and interest off poor Harriett. The Templetons mother had run off with her married lover and Phee showing up brought it to the surface again. Phee also has the misfortune to have 4 sisters who have all married Earls or stolen eligible Earls off the marriage market. All this is in her mind each time she leaves the house as she tries to blend into the furniture to protect herself. I truly felt sorry for her, 6 years hiding in the country is hard to shake off. Harriett's stuffy older brother James takes his feelings of pity and flips them into love. I like that his POV is front and center, so we understand how conflicted, scared, confused, and in love he is. James is good at putting his foot in his mouth & insulting Phee unintentionally & it pains him to do so. Their HEA moment is one of the sweetest moments and he proves his worth in the end. Sorry to see the sisters stories over but glad they all have nice HEA's. Oh, and Harriett has a lovely HEA of her own.
I read and reviewed an ARC of this story. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
