I haven’t experienced the exact same micro (and macro) aggressions that Buck did in the novel but the ones I have are definitely on the same shelf. I think this a pretty good book for any young Black person who is about to enter into corporate America or the workforce in general.
I wish the author had given us a better understanding of why Jason was so angry with Darren in the beginning. I also would have liked to see some mention of the racist views that other minorities have of Black people considering the melting pot that the Happy Campers org ended up being. Overall, a snappy and interesting novel with some fairly good advice on being a salesman.
