Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff
4.0
Really, the rating is more like 3 1/2. The language is gorgeous and the story is compelling but it was a bit on the dense side and I tend to enjoy characters if I like them more and I didn't like any of these characters. Sometimes it was a bit show-offy--excerpts from Lottos plays, for instance and there were quite a few minor characters that could have been cut out with no regrets. On the other hand, the structure was unique and I was intrigued throughout the book. I did think the ending should have seemed more, climactic?, perhaps and it wasn't in particular. Still, it was interesting and I would recommend it.
