A fascinating story with an insight into the writing process (maybe sometimes too much of it). I wouldn't go as far as calling operation Anthropoid "the greatest act of resistance of the Second World War" - millions of people sacrificed their lives for the common goal and who knows how many of those stories will never be told. It's a petty complaint but this statement just rubbed me the wrong way, and it was on the very first page. Together with all the authorial asides, it seems like the author's telling of the story is supposed to be as significant as the story itself.
