Wrath of an Exile by Monty Jay

5.0

I have.. no words. Well this was the first book EVER to make me cry so for that its going down in my hall of fame books.šŸ˜‚

After reading Hollow Boys, I knew Monty was an incredible writer. She puts so much emotion and connection into her characters and you can't help but to be so immersed into their worlds and FEEL EVERYTHING THEY'RE FEELING!šŸ˜

Jude & Phi are heartbreaking and perfect in every way.

I was so happy to see the Hollow Boys make a few appearance in this book. I was CACKLING at their one-liners in this book hahah. If you haven't already read the Hollow Boys series I HIGHLY recommend before diving into this book. It gives so much more context to how Jude & Phi ended up here.

- dark romance

- second generation
- childhood trauma
- enemies to lovers
- forbidden romance

HIGHLIGHTS:
"Fucking the enemy tastes good, doesnā€™t it, my little traitor."

"Thereā€™s a dead guy two feet away, my dadā€™s gonna go nuclear, and the rain is ruining my fucking hair. So do us both a favor and donā€™t piss me off right now." LOL

"And thatā€™s a fucking tragedy because no matter where we stand, the shadows were never meant to hold someone like her.  The spotlight wasnā€™t just made for herā€”it bends to her. She doesnā€™t chase it. She owns it. Gravity pulling everything and everyone into her orbit, whether she wanted it or not."

"Iā€™m not jealous. Iā€™m justā€¦mildly homicidal." HAHAHAHAH
