The Zookeeper's Wife
by Diane Ackerman
I'm intrigued how they're turning this into a movie. The actual story of Jan and Antonina is remarkable and movie worthy, but the author diverts away from that from time to time. If I recall, there was a whole chapter on beetles/bugs - I realize the bugs were part of a collection from a Jewish man in the ghetto, but goodness it was info overload.
I love anything regarding WWII and books being made into movies, so this was a no-brainer for me to read, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it though.
