At first I couldn’t stand Chiamaka, she reminded me of the mean popular girls in high school but she grew on me. I loved the storyline and switching POVs!
It took me a little while to get into but by part 2 of the book I was hooked! Amazing plot twists that frustrated and angered me (on behalf of Devon and Chiamaka).
Its been a long time since I listened to an audiobook and preferred it to picking up a physical book, but Ace of Spades did that for me!
Great ending, very satisfying with some closure but also a bit of open interpretation in some areas. Definitely agree on the Gossip Girl and Get Out comparisons, so if you enjoy either one or both of those, then definitely check this book out!
Graphic: Bullying, Homophobia, Racism, Toxic relationship, Violence, Car accident, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship
