NOT. A. ROMANCE. came across this book on several lists about 2020 romances and queer romances - this IS NOT ROMANCE. there is no HEA or HFN, there is only a disgustingly toxic relationship that (I'm fairly certain, based on other reviews) does thankfully end. This is hard to read as Sam is such an unbearable character. I did make it to 80% of the way through the book but realised there was no point in finishing as I'd only be giving it a 2/5, most likely.
