The Missing of Clairdelune by Christelle Dabos

5.0

"When I told you that you had a preternatural predisposition to disasters, it wasn't an invitation to prove me right." OH MY GODDD!!

I loved this book!! I liked it even more than the first one, and I really enjoyed the first one. I decided to walk and pick up my copy the other day. Then once I got back home, I was like, "oh, I'll just read for a bit" and fun fact, I did not just read for a bit; I read for the rest of the day until I finished this book. And it was WORTH IT because I think this is honestly one of the best books I've read!!

Dabos' writing in this book is just so captivating, I'm not sure how else to describe it, but it really drew me into the world of the Pole. Like I said for the first book, the plot pacing in this book is perfect. The overarching plot is quite cerebral, and I'm not sure I always followed it, but I think that's the point- I won't understand it until I read the next book. Speaking of the next book, have I mentioned that I NEED IT NOW?! Unfortunately, it's the end of the semester for me, and I will have to wait until I go home for the Summer... ARGH! THAT ENDING SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!! If you are going to read this book, I recommend having the next book on hand.

The way the romance developed in this book... *chefs kiss*
I LOVE Ophelia and Thorn! They're my new emotional support couple. Even with the romance, it remained Ophelia's story, and I loved that. :) "Oh and by the way, I love you" AHHHHH

This book really cemented the fact that this series is a new favorite of mine!!
