A fun romp! The first third felt really long and the plot beats were predictable (example: you think This One Guy is suspicious? He is). Some of the adventure ran long and there was one WILD section that veered much closer in tone to horror, but the dialogue was fun and I overall had a fun time reading. The characters are the main draw here, as is the worldbuilding (including lawyer-priests and the practical parts of guy-in-a-sword Magic). I'd be interested in the hinted-at two sequels in the works!
