I enjoyed this novel. I haven't read the 42 books that precede this one in the series so if planning on reading this one I suggest starting from the beginning. This was probably the worst book to start with because you have all the original characters that I had to learn the names/characteristics of etc. plus all the actors playing each one. Needless to say I was very confused for the first five or so chapters. I enjoyed reading such a strong female lead and enough hints were given at her past to make me go pick up the first book in the series and read from the beginning. I did find that the plot developed quite slowly and then the Detective's reveal of who the killer was came suddenly. I partially think this is because I haven't read the previous books and was more concentrated on keeping everyone straight. I felt very intrigued with the relationship between Dallas and Roarke and that is the main reason I've already started book 1 Naked in Death.
