lanabug711 's review for:
Tangerine
by Christine Mangan
Dull and clichéd. While the story itself is not terribly original, the Moroccan setting is unusual and I wanted to learn more about Tangiers. Instead, I felt as though I'd watched the same news clip on repeat - The author used the same locations and descriptions over and over until I felt like she didn't really know Morocco either.
While the story could have been a real psychological thriller, the characters were so one-dimensional that I was bored by them. I never understood anyone's motivation. And pieces of their back stories seemed to be missing.
