White Rabbit, Red Wolf by Tom Pollock

5.0

Hey, uhm, what the fuck? What the actual genuine fuck, Mr Pollock?
I think my brain short-circuited about 8 times while reading this book. There were more twists and turns in this story than in a spiral staircase and quite frankly, it fucked with my head A LOT.

Joking aside... I really, really loved this book. I was very fond of the characters, especially Bel and Peter. I loved their juxtaposition and the symbolism of the wolf and the rabbit. The "villain" who was almost impossible to pin down for about 99% of the book was incredibly interesting.
I identified with Peter a lot and I was ecstatic to find a protagonist with a panic disorder like mine - everything he felt just seemed so realistic and "logical" (to an anxiety-riddled brain). He was one of my favorite protagonists that I've ever read of.
Peters dry humor in this story was sharp and witty and it forced several hysterical giggles out of me, especially in the really, really bad situations.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole fucking time. Page 1 to page 396. What a crazy ride.
