Sabrina by Nick Drnaso
5.0
A modern must-read. After Sabrina disappears the reader is shown her boyfriend, sister, and friend of her boyfriend being fed social media reactions, radio host conspiracies, and news media coverage. It's pretty mundane. A lot of characters sitting to eat, sitting at work, sitting watching tv, but that's also what makes it powerful. He'll have a page or two of no text and just show a character sitting on their phone for 9 panels. Drnaso perfectly exploits how technology feeds conspiracies.
