i did enjoy this, i liked the characters and i like their stories but the book went on for 200-300 pages more than it needed to. i am down for a long romance if the plot and the character development lends itself to the longer page count; whilst the characters had development, it plateaued about ½ way through and the rest became unnecessary. there wasn’t much going on plot wise or development of the side characters to warrant the length of it. it ended up putting me in the biggest reading slump i’ve had for years because i was just bored and didn’t want to pick the book up, which was a shame as i did genuinely like the characters and the story for the most part.
