Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon
4.0

All the Oregon Trail game vibes, but with the complexity of adult emotions and circumstances. The onset of the journey feels familiar (Oregon Trail game-esque) with the typical dangers of the wagon trains heading west. Disease, fjording rivers, loosing oxen, people dying, different terrains/weather, trading posts, etc. But the added connection of souls, feeling out of place among different groups of people, friendliness and hostility between different groups of people, language barriers, and a war of emotions (grief, happiness, love, hate, fear, blankness) brings a sophistication to the story.
