a beautiful tale of love, hope, and found family. i loved this book even more than the first one, the Grumpy X Sunshine was done to absolute perfection and i loved getting to see them both settle into more happy versions of themselves. the characters in this book were all so charming and funny, especially Lottie the little rose. watching them all try to save the greenhouses, and each other, was beautifully engaging, and it was so cozy through and through, punctuated with deep moments of intense feelings as we learned more about the characters pasts, especially Yarrow's. the things he had to go through as a kid left me seething, but i loved how he was able to forgive his family in the end, though some were more deserving of it than others. the descriptions were made all the more beautiful by the amazing Narrator, who did an amazing job of inflicting just the right emotions into every interaction. and the greenhouses themselves were described to perfection. it's a fantastic Cozy fantasy that everyone will love!
