Another great issue from Hexagon Magazine.

My favorite story in this issue was the cover story The Drowned King.

It’s a somewhat dark tale about a young woman who will do anything, even marry a king she doesn’t love in order to become one of the matriarchs who rule their tribe.

I didn’t really like this one at first, but the further I read it, the more interesting the narrative became. And then the story’s surprisingly beautiful ending is what set it apart for me.
