Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
4.0
Hmmm somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. Maybe 3.75? Delirium was by far way better than I expected it to be, and because of that, I held Pandemonium to a really high standard that it just fell short of. I think what it was missing for me was just the crazy and passionate yet tender love story that Lena and Alex shared in Delirium. Lena starts her life in the Wilds as Alex gets left behind, and she doesn't know if he died or if he's alive. It's a lot of solitude and struggle with little support. Even though her new family in the Wilds are allowed to love and feel, they have all been hardened from a more difficult life. Long story short, it was Lena & Alex's relationship that I was dying to read more about so this one just left me hanging. BUT it did leave quite a few open ended questions to line up the third book which seems very interesting to me!
