These Walls Can Talk
by Erin Mallon
3.5 rounded up.
This was just a fun, short and sweet story. Audiobooks is the main way I inhale books, and my new obsession with RomComs have lead to some hilarious/groan inducing car rides and there were several times during this book that I felt a little called. out. I liked that this book made fun of the Audiobook/RomCom genre, but in a way that you could tell they love it. Like are the plots usually ridiculous and the sex scenes often structurally impossible? YES. Do I love it anyways? ALSO YES. Do I maybe choose an audiobook specifically cause it's narrated by someone I like? ALSO ALSO YES. Maybe it's the introvert in me but I really like listening to other people talk, and some voices I could just listen to all day.
I'm also putting out an official request for bloopers to always be included in books. I never knew I needed that in my life but i would listen to HOURS of that. ESPECIALLY RomCom bloopers.
Also not sure if it's a point of pride or not but I recognized all the voice actors used for the book.
