Five Survive by Holly Jackson

Did not finish book. Stopped at 13%.

I was really excited for this because I loved Holly Jackson’s other series, but I  couldn’t get into it. It’s never good when you dread having to pick up an audiobook even just to have background noise. Honestly, I think my main issue was that Red was no Pip. Red, in the little 13% I made it into this book, was kind of annoying. I know we’d eventually unpack the trauma of her mom dying and Red having to take care of her dead-beat dad… but so far, I didn’t see myself rooting for her down the line. Also, I couldn’t keep everyone else in the RV straight so I didn’t have high hopes for her friends either. 

Not against trying this some other time because I really did love A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, but I have no problem setting it down for now.
