This has been sitting on my shelf for years (along with hundreds of others - it was not alone, don't worry), but I was finally inspired to pick it up after my boyfriend turned on The Da Vinci Code the other day. Yes, these books are formulaic. Yes, these books are not great literature. I don't care. I planned to read it over 2 days, and I just couldn't stop. And isn't that all we really want? A good story to get sucked into. I enjoy all the random facts too. It did lag at the end, but I still finished it in about 30 hours so I can't complain too much. Perhaps I won't wait 8 years to read Inferno!
