I went into this book based on word of mouth alone, no idea what to expect and it definitely wasn't this! But I was honestly hooked from the very first paragraph - the writing style of this novel was exceptional. I sometimes had to remind myself that Margo herself is still so young so her actions were just that at times, even though her circumstances put her at such a different part of life than would be expected - and her willingness to be self-aware, even if it was upon reflection later, was something I'm always so happy to see in modern literature. So much growth from so many characters (except one, who I won't spoil but just you could tell sucked from minute one and its not who you'd think) and written very concisely with definitely an opening for follow-ups. A good summer read!
