“It’s the wilderness within that demands I survive.”
This is probably one of the saddest and most profound stories I have read. It also had the first quote from a book that I liked enough to write down. It was emotional and mysterious while still being a little hopeful at times. Following the main character as she searches for the last of a species of sea birds after mass extinction events caused by humans and after a series of tragedies in her own life, it’s a story of survival and fighting to go on when everything seems like it’s against you. One of the best books I’ve read.
