I hadn't read the 3rd volume in a while and forgot where I left off. The beginning of this volume was traumatic, but Guts gets revenge and is shown to still live with his trauma. It gives his character more nuance, though I wish it hadn't been that kind of betrayal.
It's interesting meeting Griffith, though we know he's going to be betrayed again in the future.
