Murder Road by Simone St. James

3.0

A young couple find themselves haunted by a string of gruesome murders committed along an old deserted stretch of road.
July 1995. April and Eddie have taken a wrong turn. They’re looking for the small resort town where they plan to spend their honeymoon. When they spot what appears to be a lone hitchhiker along the deserted road, they stop to help. But not long after the hitchhiker gets into their car, they see the blood seeping from her jacket and a truck is following them. The girl doesn't make it and the police think they are responsible.  As April and Eddie  dig into the Towns history they discover  that there is something supernatural at work, something that could spill the towns dark secrets and put Eddie and April in Danger.

Sorry to say this book was a bit of a miss for me. I think maybe that's down to me finding the plot a bit confusing and unsatisfiying I expected a duel timeline similar to Sundown Motel and this didn't deliver that for me I think I went in with wrong time expectations. I found it boring in places and looks lost interest. I will still be picking up future books by Simone ST James.

Thank you to Netgalley, Michael Joseph and Simone ST. James  for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
