Drown in You by T.J. Hamel
5.0
love these two!
Wow. What an amazing story. Taylor doesn’t hold any punches. Her characters go through some awful stuff that’s hard to read at times, but their recovery and strength is amazing to read.
What I love the most about Taylor’s writing is how true (I think) she is to real world emotions. I said this while reading Monstrous Deeds as well. There’s no quick and done ‘I’m out I’m over it’. It’s raw and gritty and rough and sad and you’re right there with the survivor while they are having a flashback or passively thinking they’d be better not waking up (so read those TWs first ppl!).
Know what you’re getting into with Casey and Jake, please. Drown in You starts off right at the fateful party that Casey and Carter reunite and sets everything in motion. And it’s not pretty. But how can you appreciate Casey’s growth without knowing everything that he endured?
Please, PLEASE read the TWs prior to proceeding!
