What they did to her is unforgivable. Even though 40% of the book is supposed to be for “grovelling” they didn’t really do anything. Their “apologies” did not warrant forgiveness.
I also feel like I know nothing about the characters. I truly don’t know how 348 pages were filled without me connecting to any of the MMCs.
I really like Evie at the beginning. She stood up for herself and didn’t back down, she knew her worth. But then once the 60% mark passed and she ended up in the hospital, it’s like she forgot her personality and what she stood for.
I really didn’t like this book.
