Agents of Dreamland
by Caitlín R. Kiernan
This novella is stunning, riffing on Lovecraft in a distinctly Kiernan manner and I loved every word of it. The shifts between timelines are well done and (to my mind) Kiernan's luscious prose imbues a creepy rather than horror tone to the story. In many ways, I think this is more appropriate.
The only criticism I can make is that I want more, and I sincerely hope we get more stories from this world.
