The Winds of Dune by Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson
3.0

Similar to the last book, if I could give this a 3.5 I would. It’s not terrible, but there were definitely moments where I questioned how this fit in with the other books of the series - for instance, it would have been nice to see into the mind of Alia due to some of the events of the next book. Were some of those plot points already happening here? This could have built up the rise and fall of characters even further, but it was a missed opportunity.
I’m trying to not spoil things here, but some characters seem to have been introduced as the “bad guy of the book”, and could have used further development earlier in other books where appropriate.
Considering I finished this so quickly it wasn’t too bad, but it just left a lot to be desired.
