A Matchmaking Mother by Jann Rowland

3.0

I always love an edition where we get to see Anne Darcy, and this is a lovely story along that vein. Probably the best Anne+Georgiana combo that I've read. Many times I've wondered what Georgie would be like if she had had her mother around, this version gives us a great look at that AU. However, I found D&E's relationship sluggish. The title here is clever, its all about the matchmaking moms, and how their motives and ends all differ. However, it leaves D to stubborn for too long for my tastes and then wraps very quickly. We never even get to see him propose! Overall I felt like it was a lot of lead up, and not much payoff for D&E, more evidence that this book is really about Anne.
