Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith
3.0

This book is long. Probably 927 pages for a crime novel it’s a little bit much, even if it’s about a cold case and it gives you really well the sense of waiting, of searching impossible leads through many years and many different people. Rowling as always is great at managing a lot of characters and gives the reader always something so you’re motivated to keep reading. The last 150-200 pages are by far the best, pace is perfect and the solution it’s quite difficult to guess.
I continue to love her writing style, the thing that doesn’t convince me in this one is the relationship aspect between Strike and Robin, that seems quite stiff and they are not really going forward as characters.
After reading it I understand even less all the critics and trolling she received. It’s a good crime novel from a good writer, there isn’t really much more than that.
