I am very fond of how this series makes art and science its focus by getting kids invested in an admittedly neat science project that has taken off in recent years. I also really like the established and developing relationship dynamics between the characters. They feel real and relatable, and it's really nice to see a supportive family front and center that doesn't seem like background stock characters. This first book was a fun introduction to the world.
