This book is an emotional journey I took with the characters. It was beautiful and heartbreaking at times.
Such amazing writing. Such interesting, likable and complex characters.
It switches between past and present. It spans a few decades which is done seamlessly in my opinion.
I felt so much sympathy and understanding for Shayda and Hafez. They survived so much and they are “good” people.
Troy is sexy and unpredictable. He is a bit of a mystery and that makes his appeal even more! He is an extremely memorable and beloved character.
This story definitely exists in a moral grey area. I love that! Life is full of situations that are grey.
This isn’t a typical love triangle or story of an affair.
There is SO much more to the characters and their lives/situations that lead the characters where they go.
I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys beautiful writing, amazing characters and has an open mind.
It was breathtaking! An absolute favorite!
